Read Chapter 6 in Copeland, and then read the Searle paper in the
coursepack. Describe the "Chinese Room" thought experiment and say
why Searle claims that this shoots down symbolic AI. In two brief
paragraphs (one in support, one against), give arguments in support
of and in refutation of his position.
