Office Hours

Office hours have ended for the 2013 - 2014 academic year. 

My office is Thompson 390E.  On the third floor of the East wing of Thompson Hall, go to the third floor and then to the middle of the hallway  390 opens to a suite of offices.  Mine is just to the right of the commons area (as you face the commons area).

Office hours (O.H.) are times when you can expect to find me in my office and should feel free to drop in (though there may be a line, particularly just before an exam or when an assignment is due). If I am unable to make office hours for any reason, I try very hard to get a message out to my classes and, if there is enough advance notice, post a note here as well.

Scheduled office hours may not be convenient for all students.  Please note that the schedule below has times marked as 'open', and that these may be used for setting up appointments.  Since these times can not be guaranteed to be available (they are not scheduled office hours), please arrange appointments in advance. 

If you do come looking for me during scheduled office hours and find me not there, please wait for a few minutes. In such cases I should not be gone longer than 10 minutes or so. If I still fail to arrive, please get in touch with me and it will be my responsibility to arrange an appointment with you. 

Office hours are generally in effect from about the second week of the term through the last scheduled day of classes for that term, excluding days in which classes are not in session (including snow days, if any).

* Open indicates a time that is available for appointments or meetings scheduled in advance.  It does not represent office hours and, unless I have an appointment scheduled for that time, I may not be in my office.
