Exam #3 review:
Disclaimer: I have attempted to be comprehensive in the following,
but important items may have been omitted by mistake. If you see such
an omission, please let me know, but you are responsible for all of
the lecture material to date.
Notes:
- In calculus classes, you need to show sufficient work so that I can see
how you get to an answer. Credit may not be given simply for an
answer.
- You will not need a calculator for this exam.
The third hour exam will be on Friday, November 11, and will cover chapter
6.5 through 7.5.
Material
- Be able to set up and solve problems involving work, fluid pressure,
continuously compounded interest, survival/renewal, and consumer/producer
surplus.
- Be able to calculate centroids and to use the theorem of Pappus of
Alexandria..
- Be able to solve integration problems using

- Trigonometric methods (including trigonometric substitution)

Should have been added to the last exam, and may appear on the final.
