Exam 1 Review

Disclaimer: I have attempted to be comprehensive in the following, but important items may have been omitted by mistake. If you see such an omission, please let me know, but you are responsible for all of the lecture material to date.

The first hour exam for Math 121 will be held on Friday, February 10, and will cover through section 2.2 of the textbook.  In particular, be prepared to:

• Find equations of lines (including the use of parallel and perpendicular), graph lines.
• Know definitions (including, but not limited to, functions, composition, inverses, limits (formal and informal, including left- and right- handed limits)).
• Rules for calculating limits
• Difference quotients
• Finding a δ for an ε.
