Exam #2 review:

but important items may have been omitted by mistake. If you see such
an omission, please let me know, but you are responsible for all of
the lecture material to date.
The second hour exam will be on Friday, March 25, and will cover:
- Date: Chapters 10 - 12
- Sunderraman, chapter 2
Material
- SQL
- DML: Be able to write appropriate INSERT, DELETE, and UPDATE
statements
- DDL: Be able to create (and drop) tables (with constraints), create
and drop indexes, create and drop views. Be able to explain the
differences between tables and views.
- Be able to describe the difference between the DML and DDL.
- Be able to insert, delete, and update records
- Bottom-up design: 1NF, 2NF, 3NF, BCNF
- Be able to define terms (Functional Dependency, Determinent, 1NF, 2NF, 3NF, BCNF).
- Be able to draw functional dependency diagrams.
- Be able to identify and resolve 2NF and 3NF problems
- Be able to identify BCNF problems
- Be able to describe the process of bottom-up design beginning with a form.
